Our Cancellation Policy is an agreement between yourself and your therapist to respect and commit to a process where a time and space is held for therapy. We offer clients ongoing, regular appointment times as we believe this is the best way to provide consistency and momentum with the important work we are doing together.
In order to provide high quality care, we ensure adequate time is given for the client's session, and then also for note writing, follow-up tasks, Supervision and Professional Development. These activities are all for the benefit of our work with our clients, and they require time and attention. Our fees also take into account the costs of providing a professional, secure and confidential space and the costs associated with running a mental health practice.
*The cancellation fee is based on the fee billed for by the practice and applies to clients under Worksafe, TAC, DVA and private clients.
Further appointments will not be offered until outstanding cancellation fees are paid or arrangements have been made for payment.
Rescheduling an appointment is the responsibility of the client.
By accepting an appointment at our practice, the client is agreeing to the policies of the practice, including the Cancellation Policy. In fairness to all clients, cancellation fees must be applied across the board.
